My toddler likes Richard Scarry books and loves fire trucks and fire stations right now - so I thought this book would be an automatic win. Sadly, this book is not about a fire station.
It's more about a pair of painters: they show up to paint the fire station and run into /5(). When he visits Grandpa at the fire station, Spot slides down the pole, climbs the ladder, soaks Grandpa with the hose, and finally sounds the noisy siren.
Spot thinks he's a very good firefighter, but Grandpa isn't so sure. This entertaining story, featuring the much-loved Spot, is a perfect introduction to the excitement of the fire station/5(33).
The Fire Station was a story that I made up in a daycare centre in Coos Bay, Oregon. The children in the story, Michael Villamore and Sheila Prescott, were both kids in the daycare centre – they were always getting into trouble. This fire station project is a full stand-alone quiet book, just like the dollhouse book, but using full size 9″ x 12″ sheets of felt for each fire fighters are made from the same pattern as the dollhouse dolls, so they will be interchangeable.

Welcome to our official Facebook page.5/5. The Fire Station by Robert N. Munsch, illustrated by Michael Martchenko, starts with the premise of a visit to the fire station, but Sheila says she wants to drive the fire truck. While exploring the fire truck an alarm goes off, and so do Sheila and Michael, straight to a fire!/5.
